Groundnut matures within four to six months depending on the factors surrounding its growth. Immediately the lower leaves start to fall off, then the time to harvest has come. You can harvest with hoes or machines depending on your style of cultivation. 

Uproot the groundnut crop and allow it to dry, thereafter you should remove the seeds from the pod. The seeds can be removed by a decorticating machine or better a manual shelling with the hands.
